Crs Jaximus

So yeah, just played with someone that had this username.  At first I was all 'Pah, just someone who likes the sub from the Curse team'.  Then, after the game, I checked the username just for the shits and giggles, and thoroughly now believe I was playing against the sub for Curse.  Being a bronze ranked player who's MMR is high enough to get placed with Gold's in normals, I was wondering how in the heavens I got placed with someone that was in Diamond 1.

Must have been queued up with someone at my level, guess I'll never know.

I had to play Vayne top since we had a duo that went a melee kill lane bot, and even though one of them, Katarina, was legendary, Jaximus as the enemy Rengar jungle ALWAYS hunted me down and killed me.  No care for the Kat raping their team, just wanted that Vayne.  It was nice to get the final kill of the game on him in their base when he tried flashing away from me.

My Week 8 LoL LCS Predictions

Alrighty, I'm a big fan of the LCS if it wasn't obvious already, and I thought it would be fun to make predictions on who would win the matches scheduled for both NA and EU.

Once each day of the LCS is finished, I'll come back through and edit the actual winners for each match-up, then update my prediction accuracy for each day!

Thursday Accuracy: 66%
Friday Accuracy: 66%
Saturday Accuracy: 83%
Sunday Accuracy: 50%

North America

0 - 3

Basically, unless Cloud 9 goes full retard this week or Dignitas pulls out some stupidly insane awesome strategy, Cloud 9 is basically guaranteed to win this game.

Cloud 9

I actually couldn't remember who was the dominating winner in this pair, and it surprised me a bit to see Team Coast had been the top dog in this duo.

Well, here's to hoping Coast can keep on top!

Team Coast

Team Coast

2 - 1

Alrighty, the last time these two met up, Velocity ROFLStomped Vulcun surprisingly.  To be completely fair, I think it was more so a fluke game where Vulcun just wasn't taking Velocity seriously and paid for it with a loss.  I'm all up for Vulcun winning this week.

Winner
Vulcun

Actual Winner
Vulcan

2 - 1

I really love both of these teams, and in the last few weeks, they have been improving and failing respectively in a multitude of different ways each.  None the less, my love for Curse is just a smidge bigger, so I'm rooting for them.

Curse

Actual Winner
TSM

2 - 2

For the longest time, CLG was considered Vulcun's bane in the LCS, the one team that kept beating them, until last week.  Finally, they managed to put the smack down on CLG, and I'm hoping for a repeat performance this week.

Vulcun

Team Coast has ROFLStomped Velocity every game up to this point, and I'm guessing it's going to keep on stompin'.

Actual Winner
Velocity

0 - 4

As much as I love Curse, Cloud 9 is just plainly an unstoppable beast this split.

Winner
Cloud 9

Actual Winner
Cloud 9

1 - 3

This match-up has been pretty even all split, usually just small mistakes or singular teamfights being the factor that swings the match into one team's hands.  In result, I think it would be nice to have the standings even between the two teams.

Winner
TSM

Actual Winner
Dignitas

4 - 0

Curse is just one of the teams that can't seem to get a win against the second place Vulcun, and while I would love to see them get that first win, I don't see it happening this week.

Vulcun

Actual Winner
Vulcun

While I want them to take Velocity seriously and not make Vulcun's mistake, I'd be so happy to see Cloud 9 troll them in the end with some weird strategies, team comps, or champion picks.

Here, I am just hoping for TSM to make an awesome upset in this pairing and take home their first win against CLG.

While it's always fun to see standings even up between teams, I have this feeling Dignitas will come out on top for this match up.

So happy to see Evil Geniuses winning against Gambit, and I would just be tickled pink to see that trend continue forth!

Combining the fact that SK has been really inconsistent in their playing game to game, and that Alternate got booted from the top just last week, I see Alternate working their butts off to stop SK from giving them a loss this week.

With the LemonDogs stunning performances lately, I really see them taking their first win easy from MYM.

Both teams have had roster changes, and they're even in wins against each other.  The only thing I see giving Fnatic the advantage is NiP's more recent roster change making their gameplay less than appeasing.

Just like the last three times they have met up, I'm expecting Alternate to steam roll over MYM once more.

I really want to see LemonDogs do well, considering they've worked so hard to get to where they are now.

Gotta give this one to my boys over at Evil Geniuses.  If I had to pick a second favorite team in the EU LCS, it would probably be Fnatic right now, but my heart will always be with EG.

I'm going to hand this one over to Gambit, because I honestly see NiP being weaker this week with their new roster change for their top lane.

While this match-up is probably going to be a close one, I'm banking on Fnatic pulling ahead and taking a 3rd win against Alternate.

Gambit as a whole has done better in this match-up of teams, but again, I would really like to see LemonDogs keep doing well in that first place position they earned last week.

I just don't have much faith in NiP's new top laner, so I'm going to be handing this game over to MYM.

League of Legends and E-Sports - LCS

If it's not obvious that I love League of Legends by now, then I feel sorry for you.  Go read my posts, look at my blog if you legitimately don't know that.  None the less, one of my favorite aspects is the League of Legends LCS, or League Championship Series.  It's competitive play of professional teams in both North America and Europe, and all the information you could ever want to know about it can be found at the website.

Of course, this would be a boring post unless I delved into my favorites from both the European and North American scenes, and trust me, there's some players, and sometimes even teams, I completely just love watching.

     North America

My favorite team as a whole would definitely have to go to Cloud 9.

They are just a beast this split.  Having just barely missed getting into the Spring Split, they are now dominating the Summer Split with a crazy 17 wins to 2 losses, putting them very solidly in first place with the highest win ratio the NA LCS has ever seen.

Besides their ability to put the beat down on whichever team they so chose, their players are fun to watch individually in streams, particularly Meteos, their jungler.  I've only managed to catch it once, but I had my fair share of laughing and gasps from the things he was able to do in game.

In the end though, my favorite individual player from the NA teams would have to go to Voyboy from team Curse.

Voyboy's Stream
From the very start of my stream watching days, I always keep an eye out for voyboy's stream.  He's an absolutely incredible top-laner, a super chill kind of guy, and amazingly informative.  Whenever he's going into a game, he always lists off what his runes are, his masteries, why he chose the summoner spells he did, and will always comment on his build and in game decisions he makes.  I've learned a lot from his stream, and I really believe others could also.

     Europe

For the European scene, while I do enjoy a bunch of teams, I always have and always will fangirl over one team no matter how good or bad they play.

ADC Yellowpete, Support Krepo, Top Lane Wickd, Jungle Snoopeh, and Mid Lane Froggen

Evil Geniuses.  Oh heavens do I fangirl something awful over them.  Between 'skumbag Krepo' for periodically stealing kills from his ADC, the 'Snoopeh stare' and Froggen's absolutely ridiculous plays in mid lane, who couldn't love this team?  They are one of the most friendly teams to their fans in the entirety of the LCS, and it shows with their large fanbase.

Originally, back in Season 2, they were under the banner of CLG EU, but moved over to Evil Geniuses once they didn't sign on again with CLG as the season finished.

The team started off a bit weak in the Summer Split, getting smashed down by a variety of teams.  Only in this last week, when they brought in a new jungler to trade off games here and there with Snoopeh, did they really put a foot down on the gas pedal and tell all their fans they were far from being out of the game yet.
